LAW Absolute is recruiting on behalf of a Local Authority based in Berkshire for a locum/temporary principal lawyer on a full-time basis. The contract will start with an initial 3-month period and has potential to extend from there as necessary.
You will manage the Corporate Commercial team, and deal with general commercial matters including contracts and procurement, grant agreements, intellectual property, IT, public law.
This role requires some office attendance, once a fortnight ideally, so you must be able to commute and attend in person. Fully remote working is not an option for this role.
To apply you will be:
- An England and Wales qualified solicitor, barrister or chartered legal executive with minimum 5 years’ PQE Able to demonstrate previous experience handling a caseload of commercial matters in a local government environment Able to demonstrate previous experience managing a team in a local government environment Available on no more than a 4-week notice period
The salary guidance from the client for this role is £65-£70/hour.
