LAW Absolute is working with a local authority based in East London who are seeking an Employment Lawyer for an initial period of three months.
The successful Employment Lawyer will be required to pick up an existing caseload with minimal supervision. You will be required to assist on both contentious and non-contentious employment matters. It is essential you have previous experience advising on unfair dismissal, discrimination, TUPE, equal pay, whistleblowing, and industrial relations. You will also be required to draft employment contracts, policies and procedures and negotiate and draft settlement agreements. On the continuous side you will need to be a competent advocate at employment tribunals.
Previous experience working as an Employment Lawyer within another local authority would be highly advantageous. Due to the urgent nature of the work, we are seeking Employment Lawyers available on no more than two weeks’ notice.
