Senior Legal Administrator

A healthcare regulatory body are seeking an experienced Senior Legal Administrator to join their In-house Legal Presentation Services team initially for 3 months with a view to become permanent. You will be supporting with the delivery of high-quality fitness to practise prosecutions cases within robust timeframes and cost parameters.

As the Senior Legal Administrator, you will report to and assist the Head of the department, attending management meetings, assisting with projects and deal with incoming queries to the team. You will also be responsible for overseeing two junior legal administrators, monitoring their work and ensuring all statutory deadlines are met. Your day-to-day role will involve providing administrative support services to the team through the maintenance of proper files and records as well as supporting Paralegals on any project-based work.

Candidates wishing to apply must have previous, demonstrable experience of working within administration. Although you do not need to have a legal background, an understanding of legal terms and data protection/information governance would be highly advantageous for this role. You will need to demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as a positive, ‘can do’ attitude to all tasks and challenges set. Finally, previous management experience is desirable but not essential.

On offer is a competitive hourly rate and hybrid working. Candidate will need to attend the office a minimum of two days a week. This contract is initially offered for 3 months with the strong possibility of extension or even a permanent contract. If successful, you can expect a detailed and informative training period as well as future progression within the Council.
