Senior Housing/Litigation Lawyer

LAW Absolute is recruiting on behalf of a Local Authority based in North London, for a senior housing/civil litigation lawyer on a permanent basis.

You will provide high level advice on a wide range of housing/civil litigation matters, and you will attend court, tribunals, or public inquiries as necessary, conducting high quality advocacy. The role will involve line management responsibility of staff at junior lawyer and/or paralegal level.

To apply you will:

  • Be an England and Wales qualified lawyer, barrister or chartered legal executive
  • Be able to demonstrate substantial experience handling a caseload of housing/civil litigation matters in a local government setting
  • Be able to attend the office on a hybrid working basis of 2-3 days per week in the office

Essential experience:

  • Attending court as an advocate, including all hearings up to trial
  • Dealing with complex cases within housing/civil litigation
  • Line management of junior staff
