We have been instructed by a Magic Circle law firm whose leading competition knowledge team is looking for an experienced competition lawyer to join them on an interim basis for 12 months starting in November. The role would suit an experienced competition lawyer who is interested in working in a knowledge or PSL role or an experienced Competition PSL/ Knowledge lawyer with an interest in moving to a Band 1 ranked competition practice.
Your responsibilities will involve working with the competition know how team in supporting the competition department in the UK and globally, across all areas of know how and learning. This will include supporting fee earners on monitoring legal, regulatory and commercial developments relevant to the team, involvement in client publications, updating precedents, memoranda and other training materials and responding to knowhow queries from lawyers.
Due to the nature of the role and level of responsibility involved, you will have at least 6 years of experience either as a competition lawyer or as a Know How/ PSL lawyer and have experience of working in a global law firm on complex competition related matters.
