Senior Advisory Lawyer

A medical regulatory body are seeking a Senior Advisory Lawyer for a contract role to advise on fitness to practise cases.

You will be responsible for providing legal advice, guidance, direction, and instructions to support risk-based decision-making in fitness to practise. You will also advise on the exercise of statutory powers, keep up to date with changes to case law and help to ensure the councils processes reflect best practice and regulatory strategy. In addition to being a source of professional regulation expertise, you will support the work of the wider team as required.

To be considered, you will be a qualififed and practising Solicitor or Barrister or ILEX qualified, with significant post qualification experience in helthcare regulatory law. You will have excellent legal analytical skills, ability to identify risk and will be able to demonstrate managing competiting priorities.

This is a contract role until February 2024. On offer is a range of benefits, flexible, hybrid working and a salary of between £65,000-£70,000 (dependent on experience).
