Lawyer- Legal Reviewer

An independent body who oversee a number of regulatory bodies to improve the regulation and registration of people who work in health and care. They are currently looking for a Legal Reviewer for a nine month contract.

As the Legal Reviewer, you will be responsible for conducting reviews of individual decisions made by the fitness to practise panels of the regulators at the Authority oversees,  and whether or not those decisions meet the legal threshold for an appeal. Furthermore you will identify learning points, support the policy and governance team and provide advice to the performance review team.

You should be a qualified Lawyer and have a thorough understanding of fitness to practise legislation. You will also have strong analytical and research skills and ideally have experience of working within a fitness to practise function in a regulatory body.

You will receive a salary of £55,448 and hybrid, flexible working (the role requires two days a week in the office).
