An opportunity for an experienced Information Governance Officer, with a passion for data protection, to join body which funds projects and activities that transform communities. This is a 4-month contract role to support on a new strategy launch and other projects.
You will be assisting the Information Governance Manager with day-to-day task management such as security incident recording, investigation and resolution, processing data subject rights, and responding to data protection queries. You will also assist with the review of the Funds Record of Processing Activities, launch of new staff training and general awareness campaigns.
The successful candidate will be knowledgeable and hold either a recognised Data Protection qualification, or, ideally, 3 years’ experience in applying data protection legislation. The successful candidate will be able to work both independently and as part of the information governance team, work to set deadlines and be able to attend and advise colleagues on data protection at meetings, escalating issues to the IG Manager when necessary.
This role can be office based, remote or hybrid working. You will receive a competitive FTE salary of between £22,017-£32,956 (dependent on experience). As this is a 4-month contract, the successful candidate will need to be available as soon as possible.
