Elite Silver Circle firm currently has a new opportunity for a FS Regulations lawyer with digital assets experience to join their leading FS regulatory and Digital Assets Group on an initial 6-month contract starting in March to cover a maternity. The position is with a view to extend.
This would suit an individual who is a confident self-starter, as the scope of the role will change as the market continues to unfold and develop.
The work the team does includes;
- Taking a proactive role in looking at the evolving area of DLT (distributed ledger technology) and cryptocurrencies from a cross-practice perspective.
- DLT technology is increasingly being utilised outside of crypto. As a result, it is a priority area for legal development, with government and regulators focused on developing a legal regulatory framework that harnesses the opportunities the technology brings but manages the risks at the same time.
- The use of the DLT technology is primarily clustered in the financial services sector at the moment, but there are wider applications across energy, real estate, and other areas which are likely to be adopted in the near future.
You will also be responsible for supporting the partners by monitoring the developing areas of law, reviewing consultation paper requests, and co-ordinating and drafting cross-practice responses for this cutting-edge area.
The team is keen to remain at the forefront of this market and so for the individual who is successful, you will join a market leading practice in this growing area of legal practice.
