Childcare Lawyer

A local authority based in East London is seeking a Childcare Lawyer on an interim basis. The role is to start ASAP and will be for an initial 3-month contract.

The successful candidate will be joining a highly successful, supportive, and collegiate team. The council have confirmed that local government experience is not essential but advantageous. This Childcare Lawyer position is a hybrid working role, and regular attendance to the office is required. Currently, the role will require you to attend the office 2 days per week.

The successful candidate will need to have previous experience in carrying a complex caseload of PLO and cases in proceedings. You will have experience dealing with contact issues, emergency protection, non-accidental injury, adoption, supervision, and special guardianship matters. You will also need to have previous experience providing advice under the Children Act.

As mentioned above, flexible working is available with this role. Candidates must have a current practising certificate to be considered for this position.
