LAW Absolute are currently recruiting for an experienced Adult Social Care Lawyer to join a Local Authority legal team on an initial 3-month locum contract.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a candidate with a strong Adult Social Care background who is able to manage a full and varied caseload independently from day one.
Key Requirements:
- Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive with experience handling Adult Social Care matters.
- Previous experience working within a Local Authority legal team is essential.
- Ability to manage a full caseload of adult social care work with minimal supervision.
- Available to start ASAP.
Responsibilities:
- Managing a broad caseload of Adult Social Care matters, including:
- Court of Protection applications
- Deprivation of Liberty matters
- Judicial Review support
- Ordinary residence disputes
- Mental Capacity Act advice
- Community care and safeguarding issues
- Providing legal advice and support to client departments and senior stakeholders.
- Drafting legal documentation and representing the authority where required.
- Supporting social care teams with complex and sensitive matters.
