TFL legal panel review announced
23rd April 2012
Officials at Transport for London have announced that they will shortly be carrying out the first review of its legal panel for five years.
The process will be led by Howard Cater, general counsel of the governmental body, and legal director Andrea Clark.
Many solicitor jobs in London are currently provided by TfL and the Greater London Authority, with more than ten firms offering advice on matters ranging from commercial contracts and property to employment and projects.
A spokesperson for the group explained that no decisions had yet been taken on which firms will be retained and for how long, with the review still in its very early stages.
Practices who are interested in contracts with TfL have been invited to prepare pitches to be submitted this month, which will then be considered by those overseeing the process.
The London Development Agency’s legal department was dissolved in 2011 and transferred into the GLA and TfL’s shared teams.
