Santander in-house shakeup
28th February 2014
The Spanish banking company Santander has undergone a significant corporate and commercial panel shakeup which has seen 46 firms secure a place. Among the firms to make the grade are Forsters, Gordons, Stevens & Bolton, Muckle and Steele Raymond, following the bank’s annual review.
The corporate and commercial panel at Santander is a great win for the firms whose City solicitor jobs will comprise responsibilities of mid-market transactional work mandated by the bank’s regional teams, according to this article. It is thought that most firms that were previously on the bank’s panel were reinstated in this latest restructuring.
The corporate and commercial panel acts as a separate entity to the bank’s own account panel which consists of nearly half the number of firms, standing at 24. The bank’s own account panel is divided into various categories, in which it is thought that Taylor Wessing, Hogan Lovells and Slaughter and May all hold positions.
