Lafarge Tarmac appoints new company secretary and GC
12th February 2014
Just a couple of weeks after the announcement of former legal head Deborah Grimason’s departure for builder’s merchants Travis Perkins, Lafarge Tarmac have hired a new general counsel and company secretary in the form of Fiona Penhallurick. Penhallurick comes from a Managing Director position at renewable energy company Covanta Energy, having worked at the company since 2009.
Penhallurick will take up her new GC and company secretary job on 24th February, from which time she will report to company CEO Cyrille Ragoucy. Larfarge made a quick turnaround following the departure of Grimason, which was reported in this previous LAW Absolute article, opting to fill the permanent position rather than recruit on an interim basis.
Before Penhallurick’s position as Managing Director, she was Covanta Energy’s Director of Legal and Corporate Affairs, having also worked in-house for GEC Marconi and holding an executive assistant position to the CEO of National Grid before that.
