Ladbrokes sees change to GC and company secretary jobs
6th May 2014
Jonathan Adelman has stepped down from his role as GC and company secretary for online betting and gaming company Ladbrokes. The GC role has since been taken on by Adelman’s deputy Annabel Bannerman, who came to Ladbrokes four years ago as a senior legal counsel.
The bookmaker’s London company secretary job has been taken over by Adrian Bushnell, who only came to the company earlier this year as head of secretariat. It is understood that Adelman left his responsibilities as GC and company secretary last week and is not to begin another role until later this year.
Two major law firm panel reviews were overseen by Adelman during his time at Ladbrokes, including the huge task of cutting their advisory roster from over 100 to just 22 firms and the overseeing of hourly billing being dropped by the company’s legal advisors. Adelman moved from top legal firm SJ Berwin, according to this article, to in-house at the Hilton Group before his time at Ladbrokes.
