Firm advises on MegaFon Stock Exchange listing
13th September 2012
Two leading multinational legal practices, one London-based and one headquartered in New York, have been advising MegaFon on their plans to undertake an Initial Public Offering on the London Stock Exchange within the next few weeks.
If it goes ahead, the flotation will go down as one of the most high-profile and potentially lucrative of the year so far, with its size comparable to that of Facebook’s recent launch in the US.
The Russian telecoms giant has called on partners with some of the top capital markets and finance London legal jobs to guide them through all the relevant aspects of the listing process of a 20 per cent portion of the company, which it is hoped will shortly lead to revenues equating to around £2.5 billion.
According to reports, MegaFon will be using global depositary receipts to sell this stake in both London and Moscow, where the corporation is based.
