LLG Awards 2014- 29th November 2014
This weekend, LAW Absolute was delighted to sponsor the Planning, Highways and Environment award at the first annual Lawyers in Local Government (LLG) Awards Ceremony which took place at the Rosewood Hotel in London.
The awards ceremony was hosted by Clive Anderson, who is best known for being an award winning presenter and writer but is actually a barrister by training. He undoubtedly kept the attention of the guests throughout the whole evening, with his quirky comments and endless jokes throughout the night. The awards was a great way to celebrate the successes of Local Government and also individual teams and lawyers who have gone above and beyond and deserve the special recognition.
The black tie event was a great opportunity for everyone to dress up, enjoy a glass of wine and catch up with old friends and colleagues. Some exquisite dishes were prepared for all those in attendance and the constant flow of wine made the night fly by. LAW Absolute were pleased to host Suki Binjal (Business Services Group Manger and Transformation Lead at Surrey CC), Quentin Baker (Director of Law, Property & Governance – LGSS), Joseph Matia (Principal Lawyer at London Borough of Hillingdon) and Gina Clarke (Brighton and Hove Council) and a fun night was most definitely had by all.
We thoroughly enjoyed the awards and by midnight it was definitely time for us to bow out, having decided to put our dancing shoes away.
We want to congratulate all those who won their respectable categories but also those that were shortlisted for the award, and look forward to many more opportunities to celebrate the success of those working in Local Government.
