LAW Absolute - first eDiscovery Conference
On Friday 18th March we hosted our first eDiscovery networking conference for clients and industry professionals. The event was held at the Grosvenor Hotel in Victoria, a charming venue for a business event.
Our first segment saw Kieran McPate from kCura deliver a consultative and interesting talk titled ‘Using analytics to enhance your review’. He elaborated on how law firms can help their clients meet tight production deadlines through the smart use of analytical technology during commercial disputes and regulatory investigations.
Our second segment was a panel led by Chris Dale, an industry leading eDiscovery consultant, who held an interactive discussion with the audience regarding the “acceptance of predictive coding technology by the English courts”. Chris was joined by Vince Niecho from Allen and Overy, Dan Wyatt from RPC and Edward Spencer from Taylor Wessing. The discussion was insightful and thought provoking and delegates actively took part in the discussion.
The audience were involved throughout the whole conference and we had lots of opportunity for networking with teas, coffees, fruit and pastries provided. Clients were keen to find out how others were dealing with technology assisted review as well as being keen to engage in general conversation outside of the office. We had clients from a variety of law firms and banks and we found it to be a very successful morning.
We would like to thank all of those who attended and hope you enjoyed the morning. We look forward to hosting another eDiscovery event soon.
