LAW Absolute attends a networking event for Lawyers in Local Government
We were delighted to be invited by Suki Binjal (Interim Monitoring Officer/ Head of Legal - Cheshire East Council) to attend a networking event for Lawyers in Local Government (LLG), held at Wragge and Co last week.
The LLG acts as a unified national voice that represents all Local Government Lawyers, at all levels in relation to their professional and training interests. Mark Hynes the Director of Legal Services at the London Borough of Lambeth is the current president of the LLG and throughout the year various meetings are held to discuss topics particularly relevant at that time.
The networking event enabled us to speak to Heads of Services and Lawyers at various councils including the South London Legal Partnership, LB Croydon and Cheshire in relation to the impact of shared legal services on Local Government. Not only were we able to gain an understanding of the impact on shared services on councils that were already at this stage, but we were also able to provide invaluable market advice to our clients on the impact from our perspective as market leaders in the interim Local Government legal market.
We are now working closely with LLG on their next events to see how we can add value and support. We are proud of our growing partnership and it provides us with invaluable insight which we can pass to our candidates and anticipate moves and needs in the market.
