Make your decision swiftly!

It is very important to make a decision as quickly as possible. This is partly because you may otherwise miss out on your first choice of candidate but equally a matter of courtesy towards the candidates who took the time to meet with you. If you have interviewed with a colleague or colleagues, compare notes as soon as practicable, ideally within 48 hours, while the interviews are fresh in your minds. Whilst detailed notes will assist you, your gut reactions and initial instincts regarding candidates are important and may become hazy after a few days.
