LAW Absolute is a market leader in the interim recruitment market.
We place lawyers, company secretaries and planning and housing officers into temporary jobs that may run for a matter of hours, days, months or, occasionally, years.
Many of the professionals whom we represent and place have opted for interim work as a career choice to suit their lifestyle.
Some are able to undertake only locum legal jobs due to visa restrictions – this is the case for the several hundred New Zealanders and Australians with whom we work annually and also the many non-European qualified candidates whom we place into Document Review positions.
LAW Absolute operates a payroll in-house, which enables us to place professionals as Agency Workers on hourly and daily rates. We facilitate payment to the candidates and manage all related tax and NI liabilities. The candidate receives payment on a weekly basis and the client’s obligation is to simply pay LAW Absolute’s invoices.
This arrangement affords both the client and candidate maximum flexibility.
In circumstances when the assignment is to be reasonably long-term and the duration is determinable from the outset, clients may prefer to enter into a fixed term contract directly with the candidate and to pay a recruitment fee to LAW Absolute on the assignment’s start date.
High-Volume Temporary Recruitment
LAW Absolute will frequently work with major law firms, commercial organisations and public bodies on projects that require multiple candidates to start within 24 or 48 hours. We are very well-equipped to manage these high-volume projects with an extensive and current database, comprehensive due diligence capability (to check references, qualifications and eligibility to work) and an outside-office-hours service.
